About Amy Winters
As a psychologist and Mindfulness-based practitioner, I believe in a holistic approach to mental health and wellness. My assessment and counselling work is centered around the goals of supporting clients to overcome individual challenges and promote continued growth, through learning.
I have been a registered psychologist in Alberta since 2013, and have worked in private, public and non-for profit sectors. I hold a Master of Education degree (M.Ed.,) in applied psychology from the University of Calgary (2011) and have pursued advanced training in both Clinical and Counselling Psychology.
I value presence, connection, curiosity, and lifelong learning. These core values have shaped my personal journey as well as my professional path as a psychologist.
I feel a strong connection to the mountains and feel very fortunate to call Calgary home. I have a passion for mountain sports and value the stillness and silence of the alpine. I believe strongly in the mind-body connection and the role of physical health in mental wellness.
